The AMP Model / Creator’s Fund

For those of us who were on Amp prior to joining Stationhead, there was the opportunity to earn money from Amp through the Creator’s Fund.  Amp used some formula to calculate how much to pay each month.  The amount could change month-to-month even if most or your metrics were the same month-to-month.  It was never a great idea to rely on this reward as a base of your income, because there were so many unknowns about the actual payout each month, but it was certainly rewarding to get these payments.  With the end of Amp, there is no longer a fund, and no longer any payments.  

Why do you do what you do?

Creators came to (or came out of) Amp with different plans and expectations.  I expect most folks began creating as an experiment, and eventually discovered or indulged a passion for listening to and discussing music with others who were equally as passionate.
